Open Question: Why is it that people point out China won more golds than the USA?

But they never once mention that China won more golds than Australia, or Great Britain, or France, or the Czech Republic, or Russia, Japan, Malaysia, Bhutan, Bulgaria, Bucharest, Romania, Algeria, Tunisia, Iran, Germany, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina or Spain??? While the debate rages around the world as to what's more important (overall medals vs golds should only be counted) in deciding the winners of the Olympic games, it can be summed up it's either China or the USA...that much is clear. Does that make all the other nations that finished with fewer than 50 something golds or 110 overall total losers....and if so....why doesn't anyone call them losers...is it just the USA that are losers to them? Have they forgotten their country didn't do as good either or is their hatred of the USA all that makes them happy? Your thoughts please..... My point is why doesn't anyone point out that China beat Jamaica in gold medal count...people only want to point out that they beat the USA when in fact, (and IF that's a fact, one we certainly don't all agree on) they beat all nations by alot worse thrashing than the US got, why doesn't anyone point that out? Why is it just the USA that are losers in their eyes, do they not see that their country didn't do so well either?... read more
